Daniel Habenicht is a native Texan born in Harlingen, Texas.Graduating from the University of Texas at Arlington, he chose Oklahoma City University School of Law because of its reputation for graduating well-trained lawyers and its proximity to the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

Upon graduation, Mr. Habenicht relocated to Galveston, Texas where he had interned as a law student with the Galveston County Criminal District Attorney's Office.There he studied for the bar exam and did contract work for local attorneys.

In June of 1996, Mr. Habenicht became the first associate for the newly created Sheri Y. Dean & Associates.The firm with its predominantly family law practice was a good fit for the experiences he had while volunteering with the Gulf Coast Legal Foundation in Galveston.The firm has also give Mr. Habenicht the opportunity to practice law in a variety of courts in Harris, Galveston, and Brazoria Counties.

In February 1999, Mr. Habenicht was named Senior Associate for the firm.This position has afforded Mr. Habenicht a leadership role both in the cases handled by the firm as well as many aspects of the office management.

Through several of the high profile cases the firm has handled, Mr. Habenicht has gained legal experience and knowledge equal to some attorneys with significantly more years of practice.His professionalism and compassion for his clients also contribute to Mr. Habenicht's well rounded abilities as an attorney.
