One entry from each of the three categories was named the winner from a total of 31 entries, said Kristy Keane of the Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation, who served as the director of the main street activities.

There were no major problems that arose at the parade, Keane said other than a few generators that did not operate properly.
"It was a typical problem and something that happens every year," she said."Everything ran smoothly."
Keane expressed her thanks to those who helped make the light parade possible.
"Morrie Pongratz served as our announcer, which we really appreciate," she said."Also thanks to out judges, James Keane, Jim Springer, Bettina and Michelle Smith and Chello Rojas."Keane also identified Antonio Majore and Marlane Hamilton as integral to the successfulness of the parade.
