Arranger, composer, clinician and virtuosic jazz and classical trombonist Alastair Kay will be featured, as well as the Lambton County Honour Jazz Band.
Kay was approached by Honour Jazz Band conductor Tim Hummel -- a former LCCVI principal -- to volunteer his expertise at the festival.

As part of the festival, Kay will be holding workshops for students during the day.
Kay is the head of brass at Humber College.
He has performed around the world with entertainers such as True North Brass, Ella Fitzgerald, Rob McConnell's Boss Brass, Diana Krall, Tony Bennett, Aretha Franklin, Paul Anka, Buddy Rich, Bill Holman, Dave Brubeck, Slide Hampton, Nelson Riddle, Lionel Hampton, Peggy Lee, Frank Sinatra and Andre Bocelli.
Kay has appeared as a soloist with many of Canada's leading orchestras and toured with orchestras of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and the National Ballet.
He's performed his own arrangements with the Hannaford Street Silver Band, Intrada Brass, the Weston Silver Band, Brassroots and the Orillia Concert Band.

In the recording studios, Kay has played on over a thousand radio and television jingles and soundtracks, including both new hockey TV themes, and on numerous CDs, records and feature film soundtracks.
Kay is a regular in Toronto, playing with several bands and his own five-and 10-trombone jazz ensembles.
He's been first-call for most of the musicals in Toronto the past 30 years, including Dirty Dancing, Lord of the Rings, The Producers, Lion King and Chicago.
Kay advises student musicians to "practise as much as you can, get some lessons, and listen to great music."
