Alastair Kay has been a member here at Bowl-Tech since November of 2000.
Over the years Alastair has been a very supportive member of our community.
He grew up in small town on the South West coast of Scotland.
He went bowling for the first time at age 11 at one of the first automated centere's in Scotland.
Hand scoring and lines out the door waiting to bowl.
His first visit to a centre he was hooked.
On his first visit down back with one of the centre tech's he was hooked and at age 14 did a week of work experience and loved it.
Alastair grew up learning classical piano, violin and singing, he led his school orchestra and achieved awards for music.
He left school and studied music performance at University in Edinburgh.
He moved back to Scotland and started working at the local bowling centre and studied at Glasgow University and graduated as a Telecommunications Engineer.
He repaired and worked with electronic boards in the centre's lazer quest while he learned his trade as a technician.
He has since moved to England and is working for Bowlplex Ltd. where he recently won an achievement award working at Bowlplex's Castleford location as the senior technician.
Alastair brings much to our community with his experience on AMF equipment his youth and his willingness to help all other members of our community.
As you can see with his education he could have gone many directions, I feel we are lucky to have him in our industry and most of all a member of the Bowl-Tech community.
Thanks for joining our team and being a part of the Bowl-Tech community.
Please take a moment to congratulate Alastair by
