Michael Kavanagh has over 24 years of human resources experience.He has developed compliance strategies, implemented and enforced policies corresponding with federal, state and municipal laws, developed and implemented compensation programs and managed acquisitions and divestitures.Mr. Kavanagh has also been responsible for security and payroll, implementation of a HRIS and managing a staff in excess of twelve human resources professionals and administrative personnel.He has been instrumental in the formulation and execution of various IPO endeavors.
Mr. Kavanagh is responsible for all human resources functions at AMC Corporation including all levels of recruitment, employee relations, training and development, organizational development, compensation and salary administration, health and safety, benefits, risk management, legal liaison and consulting as well as developing and advising all levels of management, ensuring the development of a partnership with each of the various business functions.He is also responsible for AMC's corporate infrastructure, including help desk, production network, telecommunications (voice and data), facilities and security.
Prior to coming to AMC, Mr. Kavanagh has held positions of increasing responsibility as Director, Human Resources for Automatic Data Processing, Inc.; Manager, Human Resources, for United Biomedical, Inc., Personnel/Commissions/Payroll Manager for Tura, LP and Senior Human Resources Representative for Allergan Optical, Inc.
Mr. Kavanagh attended St. Joseph's College majoring in Human Resources Management and received Certificates in Human Resources and Leadership and Supervision.He is a Director on the Board of Directors for CIGNA HealthCare of New York.He also served on active duty in the United States Army.
