    Dr. Karceski's research focuses on equity investments, portfolio optimization, the behavior of equity analysts, mutual funds, and bank mergers. He has taught courses to undergraduate, masters, and doctoral students on equity markets, the institutional money management business, and asset pricing theory.

    Dr. Karceski's work has been published in all of the top-tier finance journals including the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, and the Review of Financial Studies, as well as practitioner-oriented journals such as Financial Analysts Journal. He has also won a number of teaching awards at the University of Florida. His research has been recognized with the Barclays Global Investors Best Paper Award at the 2000 European Finance Association Meetings as well as with the Graham and Dodd Award of Excellence from the Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR) in 2000.
