Ms. Jennifer Kaplan

Jennifer Kaplan is a Parmet Fellow (see note below) and Staff Attorney at Health Law Advocates.Before law school, Ms. Kaplan worked for four years as a researcher and program evaluator at Gay Men's Health Crisis (GMHC), an AIDS social service organization in New York City.There, she assisted client services with researching and analyzing current and future client and programmatic needs.She also became involved in both the Harm Reduction movement and transgender health issues.Prior to GMHC, Ms. Kaplan worked with individuals living with psychological and neuropsychological disabilities.She is particularly interested in the intersection of public health and law, which is what drove her to complete her law degree at Northeastern University School of Law in 2001.She aspires to improve health care access and services, in particular to individuals living with mental illnesses and disabilities.
