Michael Kalet, director of sales at NAI Pyramid Brokerage Co., Inc. is in charge of selling Penfield's 206,000-square-foot, 2.1-acre North Salina Street property, listed for an asking price of $1.3 million, he says.
According to City of Syracuse property records, the land is assessed at $146,100 and the total assessment of the property is $540,000.
Penfield is located within the designated City of Syracuse Empire Zone and federal Empowerment Zone, Kalet says. The programs offer tax incentives for job creation.
Although no one has bid on the property since Pyramid first listed it six months ago, several commercial and residential developers have expressed interest in the facility, including those wishing to turn it into a warehouse, public storage, mixed-use retail, office, hotel, apartments, or condominiums, Kalet says.
