Dr. Kalabat is a certified American Board Radiologist, and also Nuclear Medicine board certified as well as CAQ in Nuclear Radiology. Dr. Kalabat's expertise beyond general radiology is: Nuclear Medicine. Also Dr. Kalabat is the secretary of the Board of Directors of Eastpointe Radiologists, P.C.

Dr. Kalabat attended Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, Michigan. His residency was at Henry Ford Hospital Detroit, Michigan in Internal Medicine and Detroit Medical Center Detroit, Michigan in radiology. Dr. Kalabat's undergraduate studies were at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, Michigan where he was an honors member of the National Golden Key Honor Society.

Dr. Kalabat's continuing education includes a fellowship in Nuclear Radiology at Harvard, Boston, MA. He has also done research in the University Dept of Molecular Biology in Genetics at Wayne State University Detroit, Michigan.

Dr. Kalabat is a member of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and the Michigan State Radiology Society where he serves on the Radiation Safety Committee.
