   Balram Kakkar is Managing Director of Alpine Commercial Capital.Mr. Kakkar is also a Principal in Pan Am Mortgage, a residential mortgage firm which employs more than 100 people, and has served as Chief Executive Officer since inception in 2001.Mr. Kakkar closed in excess of $300 million of loan transactions in 2004.
   
   Mr. Kakkar has been practicing law since 1991, most recently at Kakkar & Kadish, a practice he helped start in 1994.Mr. Kakkar received his BA with honors from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has a JD from University of Virginia School of Law.Mr. Kakkar was a Morehead Scholar and is a member of the New York, Connecticut and District of Columbia Bars.
