   Bruce J. Kahne is counsel at Seward & Kissel and became associated with the firm in 2000.Bruce's practice specialties include the formation and representation of private investment partnerships and various offshore investment vehicles; the registration of investment advisers and related regulatory compliance; the formation and CFTC registration of commodity pools, commodity pool operators and commodity trading advisors; and general securities and corporate matters.
   
   Immediately prior to joining Seward & Kissel, Bruce's practice focused on broker-dealer compliance and regulatory issues, as an Assistant General Counsel at Prudential Securities and, prior to that, as an associate at what was then Gersten, Savage, Kaplowitz and Curtin.Bruce also has a litigation background.He tried securities arbitration cases at Prudential and at Gersten Savage, and has commercial litigation experience having been briefly associated with several small litigation firms after graduating from law school.
   
   Bruce received a B.A. degree in Political Science from Binghamton University in 1989, where he was the Captain of the Varsity Baseball Team.He received a J.D. degree from the Fordham University School of Law in 1992, where he was a member of the International Law Journal and the Moot Court Board.
