He believed in the value of continuing medical education for physicians , said Lisa Kahn , his daughter , who lives in New York City.
Dr. Kahn chaired the anesthesiology departments of Stevens Park and Dallas Family Hospital , now Dallas Southwest Medical Center.
He was clinical associate professor of the anesthesiology department and taught pharmacology at the University of North Texas Health Science Center – Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth.
Dr. Kahn was a member of Temple Emanu-El , the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Development Advisory Board to the city of Dallas.He was also on the board of directors of the Jewish Community Center of Dallas.He was a director of Trinity National Bank of Dallas from 1975 to 1983.
Memorials may be made in Dr. Kahn's name to Friends of Golden Acres , in care of the Dallas Home for the Jewish Aged.
In addition to Lisa Kahn , he is survived by his wife , Anna Lee Kahn of Dallas ; daughter , Isabel Kahn Smith of Seattle ; sister , Dinah Wolkoff of West Palm Beach , Fla. ; and one grandson.
