   The lead is Lisa Kahn , the Los Angeles County DNA coordinator since 1990. She is particularily interested in the technical and scientific aspects of the subject and has attended numerous scientific conferences on forensic DNA testing.
   
   Kahn frequently trains and advises other attorneys on the subject. After some early sparring with Barry Scheck over the DNA testing , Kahn was forced to limit her involvement in the case because of the impending birth of her first child due in December.
   
   While the Scheck-Kahn exchanges were of limited duration , they were marked by deep animosity. In a tactic reminiscent of George Bush continually mis- pronouncing the name of Saddam Hussein , Kahn repeatedly referred to Scheck and Neufeld as Schecht and Newfield. Scheck was theatrical with frequent grimaces of disgust and disdain and a barrage of charges and reasons why the prosecution should be sanctioned or penalized.

   The length of time that jury selection has taken and the holiday recess may allow Kahn to again enter the case during the Kelly-Frye hearing.
   
   If not , Kahn will be replaced by George Clarke and Rockne Harmon , two highly-experienced DNA prosecutors who have already assisted in the case.
