Linda Kahn has over twenty-five years of marketing communications and event management experience, from charitable fundraisers to commercial satellite communications.

Starting in the early 1980's, Kahn was director of Marketing Communications at Hughes Communications, Inc., (HCI) a unit of GM Hughes Electronics and the largest private satellite operator at the time. (HCI's Galaxy business operations subsequently merged with Connecticut-based PanAmSat, which was subsequently purchased by Intelsat).At Hughes Communications, Kahn's responsibilities also included corporate branding and advertising, trade show management and customer relations.

During her tenure with HCI, Kahn pioneered the concept of satellite launches as a primary marketing event for the operator.She conceived and created the first commercial customer event for HCI and its Galaxy I satellite in Orlando, Florida, and went on to manage more than a dozen major HCI satellite launches, as well as other major HCI customer events at international trade shows such as the ITU World Telecom in Geneva.Kahn supported launches for HCI's military and commercial satellite customers, on a range of launch vehicles from NASA's STS Shuttle, to the Ariane, Delta, Atlas, and Titan expendable launch vehicles.

Since leaving Hughes, Kahn has planned and coordinated numerous corporate and charitable events, and counts Inmarsat, PanAmSat, Lockheed Martin Commercial Space Systems and SSPI among her current or former clientele.

Prior to joining HCI, Kahn applied her unique event management and community relations skills to the Long Beach Regional Arts Foundation and the Long Beach Department of Parks and Recreation.She graduated from the University of Southern California in 1974 with a BFA in Theater.
