  The new middle school principal will be Mike Kagan.Kagan was the pupil services director at Turner five years ago, but since has been principal of St. Peters Catholic School, a kindergarten through eighth grade school in Rockford.
  
  While at Turner between 1996 and 1999, Kagan helped out with special education, gifted and talented and other programs at all the schools.He got to know the district well, and liked it.
  
  "I wanted the opportunity to be a principal.It had been a goal of mine my whole career," Kagan said.
