The U.S. Figure Skating Association (USFSA) announces the Greg Johnston of Gen Dale, WV, has been named Events Manager for the organization.Johnston has relocated to Colorado Springs, CO to work at USFSA headquarters.

Working within the USFSA Events Department, Johnston will assist in the development and management of the State Farm U.S. Championships, U.S. Synchronized Championships, Skate America, Four Continents Championships and the USFSA Open events.He will also assist in the site selection process for future USFSA events.

Johnston will also assist in event operations, such as maintaining scoreboard systems, transportation systems, venue set-up and fulfillment of television requirements.Johnston will also work closely with local figure skating clubs in assisting with arena management in the areas of ticketing and credentials.

Prior to joining the USFSA, Johnston served as an Event Manager with Synergy Sports where he managed the nationwide 120-city Milk Mustache Mobile Tour.He previously worked at International Sports Marketing where he served on the event staff for numerous national sporting events and promotional campaigns.

Johnston obtained his MBA with a concentration in Sports Marketing from Robert Morris College in 1999.As an undergraduate, he earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Marshall University.
