Richard Johnson, ANA Director commented that, combined with CSCI Care Homes Registration and the planned achievement of The Investors In People Award in 2008, The EATA Therapeutic Programme accreditation will further support ANA's plans to become one of the leading providers of residential treatment services on The South Coast of England.

He continued to say that the three quality assurance measures cover generic service provision in terms of premises and accommodation, therapeutic inputs and outcomes and staff recruitment, development and training; the full package.

Mr Johnson said that he believed that these developments will reassure staff, referring agencies and, most importantly, clients that ANA is a class leading organisation.

Richard Johnson, newly appointed full time Director at ANA, has been appointed to The Board of EATA (The European Association for the Treatment of Addiction) as a Non Executive Director and Trustee.Richard will be working closely with his colleagues at EATA to ensure that treatment centres and agency members are represented and have a voice across the industry and at government level.

Richard Johnson, ANA Director commented that, combined with Care Homes registration, the process of working towards achievement of this award will further quality assure the client experience in terms of treatment provision.

Richard Johnson is Executive Director of ANA Treatment Centres in Portsmouth, Hampshire.ANA provides Primary and Secondary residential treatment for those reliant on drugs, alcohol and gambling from its various centres.ANA also provides resettlement packages and a local Family & Carer Support Group.

Richard has worked as an HR and organizational development specialist for the past fourteen years.He began as a staff development officer for Durham County Council Social Services Department, working across departments.

He then joined the IODA Consulting Group where he worked across the UK and overseas for five years with numerous public, Private and third sector organisations.During this time, Richard developed specialist knowledge in senior management development and equality and diversity.

More recently, Richard joined Birmingham Professional DiverCity as Executive Director.BPD are a third sector equality and diversity consulting company, working predominantly in the professional and financial services sector across Birmingham.

In 1998, Richard authored the ,How To Get A Management NVQ' series of text books, published by Letts Publications.Richard has a BA (Hons) Degree in Business and Marketing, holds many memberships with professional bodies includingFDAP, IOD, CIPD, CMI and ILM.Richard became a Trustee and Board Member of EATA in 2006.

He has been working in the drugs and alcohol field since 1995, initially in the Public Sector, then on a consulting basis, assisting in policy development and training.Richard joined ANA Treatment Centres in 2005.
