Marva Johnson Promoted to Vice President, Technology Policy and Industry Affairs for Bright House Networks
SYRACUSE, NY (February 24, 2009) - Marva Johnson has been promoted to Vice President, Technology and Industry Affairs for Bright House Networks.
Johnson will help evaluate technology policy implications associated with the company's infrastructure and service delivery.
Going forward, she will continue efforts to establish regulatory strategies for the company's video, voice and data services.
Johnson, who had been acting as VP CLEC Operations for Bright House Networks Information Services (BHNIS), will report to Nomi Bergman, President of Bright House Networks.

Johnson joined Bright House in 2006 as a key member of the team that brought the Bright House Networks CLEC forward from concept to operational reality.

Prior to joining the Bright House Networks team, Johnson served in regulatory and policy roles including General Counsel for Supra Telecommunications (a subsidiary of FDN Communications) and Vice President and Senior Counsel for KMC Telecommunications where she oversaw KMC's regulatory, legislative and industry relations at both the state and federal levels.
Prior to joining KMC, she also served in several management positions within MCI and BellSouth.
Johnson is a graduate of Georgetown University (BSBA), Emory University - Goizuetta Business School (MBA), and Georgia State University Law School (JD), and a member of the State Bar of Georgia.
She also serves on the Board of Women in Cable & Telecommunications (WICT).
Johnson and her family will soon be making Orlando their home.
