The city has already erected a 4-foot-high plywood barricade around the site "to secure the site to a point," said Bob Johnson, director of Lansing's Planning and Neighborhood Development Department.
Heavy equipment and related materials will be on site by Tuesday, potentially necessitating a traffic shift on Washington, he said.
After crews have removed the debris, they will back-fill the area with sand and level it, Johnson said.
