Dr. Kelly JensenKelly Jensen graduated with a B.S. degree in Biology from Stanford University in 1990 and earned her D.V.M. from the University of Illinois in 1994.She has been an associate veterinarian at Irving Street Veterinary Hospital since June 1994.
During her undergraduate years, Dr. Jensen worked as a veterinary assistant at Dundee Animal Hospital in Dundee, Illinois and as a biological aid for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Sirenia Project radio-tracking manatees in Cap Canaveral and Jacksonville, Florida.She continued to pursue an interest in exotic animals in veterinary school during an externship at San Diego Sea World, where she studied husbandry, medicine, and surgery of marine fish, invertebrates, birds, and mammals.
Dr. Jensen also brings an interest in pathology to Irving Street, having served as an emergency technician at the clinical pathology laboratory and as an assistant on the necropsy floor at the University of Illinois Veterinary Hospital.

In addition to practicing western medicine, Dr. Jensen has been a certified veterinary acupuncturist since 1996.She often combines these modalities to provide patients with several options for the treatment of certain diseases.
Dr. Jensen is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the California Veterinary Medical Association, the House Rabbit Society, the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture, and the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society.
