Marsha Jennings has nearly 20 years of experience in the health industry, directing strategic planning, marketing, corporate identity, public relations and community development activities for health systems, hospitals and health services agencies.Marsha provides strategic counsel and support to The Strategy Group's Strategy Solutions clients, assisting them in leveraging innovative turnkey marketing products to deliver maximum impact for the organization. Prior to joining The Strategy GroupÔ, Marsha was an independent consultant specializing in physician/hospital relationships, marketing communications and strategic business development.Her clients have included market research companies, specialty hospitals, assisted living communities, dental practices, ambulatory surgery centers, rural hospitals and large multi-hospital systems.Prior to consulting, Marsha served in senior management positions for several health care organizations.She was the marketing director for Sentara Enterprises, an ambulatory services subsidiary of Sentara Health System in Virginia and marketing director for Physicians Memorial Hospital in Maryland.She also served as director of health education and planning for the State Health Department in Maryland.

Marsha holds a Master of Science degree in Community Health Education from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, where she also earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology.She speaks at industry events and conferences, writes articles on various health care topics and has been published in an American Hospital Association book on Occupational Health.

Jennings joins The Strategy Group as Senior Consultant(Norfolk, VA , October 22, 2005) The Strategy GroupÔ is pleased to announce the appointment of Marsha Jennings as a Senior Consultant.In this new position, she will provide counsel and support for strategic planning, business development and strategic marketing projects.

Marsha has extensive experience in healthcare marketing and planning spanning nearly 20 years.She has directed strategic planning, marketing, corporate branding and community development activities in senior leadership positions for hospitals and health systems.She has launched community health initiatives, designed and marketed occupational health programs for hospitals and directed the health education and planning initiatives for a State Health Department. Prior to joining The Strategy GroupÔ, Marsha was a private consultant to clients where she specialized in physician/hospital relationships, strategic business development, marketing communications and image strategies; her clients have included market research firms, specialty hospitals, assisted living communities, ambulatory surgery centers, rural hospitals and multi-hospital systems.She previously held planning and marketing positions with Physicians Memorial Hospital (LaPlata, MD) and Sentara Healthcare (Norfolk, VA).Marsha holds a Master's degree in Community Health Education from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia where she also earned her Bachelor's of Science degree in Sociology.She has been a speaker at industry events and conferences and has been published in an American Hospital Association book on Occupational Health.
