Marlene Jennings, Principal

Qualifications: Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting (University of Johannesburg), LLB (University of Johannesburg), Registered Persons Examinations. Marlene was admitted as an advocate in 2002.

Marlene joined Absa Capital Private Equity in 2007 with responsibility for Corporate Governance. Prior to this Marlene was Head of Compliance for Absa Capital. Marlene first joined the Absa Group in 2002, with her areas of responsibility being treasury operational risk, governance, compliance risk and legal risk management. She also gained international investment banking experience while working in sales trading at Merrill Lynch, London. Prior to joining Absa, Marlene also worked at UBS in Johannesburg, where she specialised in credit and legal risk.

Marlene is responsible for governance, fund raising and investor relations.
