EDGE volunteer and UPS mechanic Rick Jenner did not know what was in store for him as he suited up in old clothes and headed out to the farm.
"It's funny where God will lead you when you are listening to his voice.
A year ago, I never would have imagined I would be doing anything like this!
Rick, who has installed water purification systems all over Costa Rica, has been prayerful about God's next step for him.
After the LS-100 drill rig was donated earlier this year to EDGE, Rick enthusiastically volunteered to take on the challenge of learning the ins and outs of the rig firsthand.
This type of rig has been used to dig shallow wells in thirsty villages worldwide.
Through a training provided by Living Water International, Rick and others spent three days in class and on a driller's farm learning everything from how to spec a new site for the prime place to drill to how to set up the rig and bring water to the surface.
His team went through the entire drilling process firsthand with qualified instructors, and now Rick is a certified LS-100 well driller!
