John Jameson, a partner in Latham & Watkins' Los Angeles office, practices commercial law and has extensive experience in a broad array of commercial finance transactions, including numerous types of loan transactions and structured finance transactions.John is the chair of the Finance Department in Los Angeles, and chair of the Finance Department Opinion Committee.

He has represented institutional lenders, borrowers, equity sponsors and others in leveraged financings, acquisition financings, working capital financings, asset-based loans, out-of-court debt restructurings and UCC foreclosures.In addition, he has represented underwriters, placement agents, dealers, issuers, lenders and other parties in securitization transactions involving both public and private securities offerings and a wide variety of asset types, including credit card receivables, utility stranded assets, subprime auto loans, insurance premium finance receivables and real estate properties.
