VIRGINIA JAMES

In the designated Year of the Young Engineer, Virginia James is an emerging project manager, currently working with international engineering firm Arup on a range of Perth and Adelaide infrastructure projects.

Virginia graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2003 with a combined commerce and civil engineering degree.During her university years, she also spent time abroad studying in Canada and working in the UK.She joined the Perth division of Arup in 2004 and is currently working for six months with the project management and water engineering teams in Arup's Adelaide office.

Virginia is keen to further develop her skills in infrastructure and project management, with her longer-term aspiration to work in infrastructure construction in developing countries.

Virginia addressed LunchBox Lunch List at 'Energy, Enterprise & Experience' on 18 August 2005.

And finally, recent graduate Virginia James, working as a civil engineer with international engineering firm Arup in a role that has taken her on secondment to South Australia.
