Vincent James (Dancer) is a native of Houston and a graduate of the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and University of the Arts ( Philadelphia ). He trained at the Ben Stevenson Houston Ballet Academy and studied in the summer of 1993 at the American Dance Festival at Duke University. During the 1999 season, he danced the Spirit of Ethiopia in Houston Grand Opera's "Aida." He has danced with Philadanco, Dallas Black Dance Theatre, Second Generation Dance Company, and Joan Karff's New Dance Group among many other companies in the Houston area. He is an original member of Sandra Organ Dance Company and most recently was featured as George Washington Carver in "The Seed Series."
Daintee Glover Jones ( Elizabeth ), Ph.D. Candidate in English Literature at the University of Houston , is the playwright of "Widowed." She has also written the music for this "Sarah & Joshua: A Juneteenth Musical." Carolina Academic Press has published her essays "Zulu Sofola and Feminist Consciousness" in Nigeria in the Twentieth Century and "Spaces and Boundaries in Zulu Sofola's Song of a Maiden" in Urbanization and African Cultures. -
