  Below are excerpts from a speech given at the St. Johnsbury Business Recognition awards by Vermont Broadcast Associates president, Bruce James.
  
  Any company is only as good as its staff, which are like family to me. I'd like to quickly recognize some of them who were able to join us today.In our offices we have 4 Town Selectmen, 2 Justices of the Peace, present and former Rescue Squad members, fire department members, youth sports coaches, and community leaders.I'm very proud of the people who work in our company and their involvement in the community.
  
  Our corporation, known as Vermont Broadcast Associates Incorporated, built WGMT Magic 98, now Magic 97.7, in 1990.We soon gained a reputation of a quality radio station serving the needs of the business community and the people who live in northern Vermont and New Hampshire.
