Cold weather should hit again Friday, he said.

The average high for January is 28 degrees, the low 15 degrees, said James. However, in the past decade during Snowfest, the six-day average is a high of 36.9 and a low of 5.7.

The coldest temperatures came in 1996, with the average daytime high at 27 and -14 overnight. The warmest was 1999, at 48 and 20 degrees.Comparatively, 2001 registered at 31 and 23.
