"It makes me proud and happy that [Doo-Dah] is still exactly what it is," said Patricia Hurley, parade spokesperson.
From the start, Doo Dah was meant to be the complete antithesis of the Tournament of Roses.The parade is open to everyone, with absolutely no rules.
"Anything goes," said Hurley.

"[They are] rebellious and at the same time funny and talented, but not in the traditional sense," said Hurley.

Hurley said she is proud of the way Doo Dah 2004 turned out.
"There were lots of new entries and lots of political entries, and in combination with the people who come back every year, it made for a variety of entries, making the parade unpredictable and ultra-fun," she said.
