    Despite rain and overcast skies the last two days of the Olmsted County Fair, fair president Pat Hurley said the annual event was a success, capped with more than 3,000 people turning out on Sunday for the demolition derby.

    "The rain did cut down on attendance the last couple days," Hurley said of the 147th annual fair."But we were in need of the rain so we accepted it, did the best we could and moved on."

    The few changes to the fair this year went smoothly, Hurley said, thanks to exhibitors.
