PRINCESS ANNE -- Paige Hurley, a Salisbury resident with a degree in sports management, was recently hired as the new director of Somerset County Recreation and Parks Department.
Hurley replaces Robin Bunting who resigned in January after almost four years on the job.
...
Most recently, Hurley worked with local schools with the McGruff Safe Kids ID System.
He also has experience working with Wicomico County Parks and Recreation's Camp Challenge, and as an assistant baseball coach at Salisbury University and Hampden-Sydney College.
Hurley also is the founder and director of the Eastern Shore Wiffleball Association.

Hurley said he plans to continue the existing programs and also add some new ones including a girls' basketball clinic, baseball clinics, a co-ed volleyball league, an adult basketball league, and outdoor youth basketball in the Greenwood neighborhood in Princess Anne.
While he said he plans to take "baby steps" at first, Hurley thinks the department has the potential to expand.
"Somerset County is growing," he said.
