Club president Mike Hurley said the public is welcome to attend the meeting beginning at 10 a.m. at the Laurier Boulevard Fire Hall.

In addition, Mike Hurley has been a source of information and guidance due to his longstanding commitment to this bar.I still think he deserves some special recognition, but perhaps at another time.

As an aside, I would like to recognize the effort that Mike Hurley has put into this event and, for that matter, for the time and effort he has expended for the Bar Association over the years.Mike has been involved in the Bar Association since I became a lawyer and his contributions are too numerous to recount.He has quietly contributed far more than anyone else that I know of and has never sought any recognition for his efforts.I, however, would like it known that we owe a huge debt of gratitude to Mike for all he has done.

COLUMBUS-(July 1, 2004)-Michael P. Hurley of Nelson, Sweet and Hurley, has been elected to serve a three-year term as District 18 representative on the Board of Governors of the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA). District 18 includes 672 attorneys who reside or practice in Ashtabula , Geauga, Lake, and Trumbull

counties.

Hurley is immediate past chair of the Ohio State Bar Association Solo, Small Firm & General Practice Section Board of Governors and he has served as editor of the Solo, Small Firms and General Practice News since its inception. Also, Hurley serves on the American Bar Association General Practice, Small Firm & Solo Practitioner Section Council and is the Chair of its Business and Financial Planning Committee, is the chair of its Rainmaking Committee and is a member of the Section Book Publications Board. He is past president of the Lake County Bar Association and currently serves on its Executive Committee.

Hurley is past secretary and current legal counsel for Lake County Community Development Corporation. He is a trustee for the Painesville Area Habitat for Humanity and the Painesville Exchange Club and is a member of the Painesville Area Chamber of Commerce. Hurley is a past president and current program chairman for the Lake-Geauga Serra Club.

Hurley and his wife June, a third grade teacher at State Street Elementary, have four children.

Michael P. Hurley, District 18 representative on the OSBA Board of Governors, will preside over the meeting, beginning at 12:10 p.m., which will include the election of one member to the OSBA Board of Governors and two members to the OSBA Council of Delegates.
