Approximately 30 walkers will leave at 7:45 a.m. from the Richmond First Church of God at 606 S. Camden and walk to the fairgrounds, according to Susan Hunter of the Missouri Valley Community Action Agency.She said there are even some Head Start children taking part.

MVCAA business representative Susan Hunter, who worked with Roy Hunter, Corporon and center coordinator Mary Ann Piper, said the career center pre-interviewed prospective employees and arranged an interview schedule for Eastman House Vice President of Operations Dennis Casey.

Much like her peers, MVCAA Community Development Business Services Coordinator Susan Hunter explained that the celebration was as much to honor the agency's community partners as it was to honor the agency itself.

"I think this is a special time to honor our partners that have pitched in to help end poverty," Hunter said.
