"The biggest advantage to on-line pre-registration is that patients can submit their information at their convenience, whether that's 1 a.m. or 1 p.m.," says Susan Hunter, M.B.A., R.H.I.A., Baptist's Admissions Manager.Information submitted on-line is part of the patient's confidential medical record.
A patient can pre-register at any time prior to the procedure. After pre-registering on-line, a patient will only have to provide a copy of his or her insurance card and sign authorization forms upon arriving at the hospital. If testing--such as X-rays or lab work--is required before the procedure, any remaining forms can be signed at that time.

"We're always exploring ways we can simplify processes for our patients," says Hunter."We want to make the details as easy as possible so they can concentrate on getting well and back on their feet."
