July 14, 2003-Ashland, Ohio-Christopher S. Hunt, CHE, MHA has been promoted from Director of Radiology Services to Vice President of Clinical Services at Samaritan Regional Health System (SRHS), according to William C. Kelley, Jr., FACHE, President and CEO of SRHS.

Hunt will be administratively responsible for several clinical areas at Samaritan Hospital including Laboratory, Pharmacy, Radiology, Cardiopulmonary, and Social Services.

Hunt has over 24 years of clinical management experience, and arrived at Samaritan Hospital as Director of Radiology in January of 2001.He was previously employed as the Director of Radiology with both Mercy Hospital in Willard and EMH Regional Medical Center in Elyria.He received his Masters in Healthcare Administration (MHA) in 2002 from Seton Hall University in New Jersey, and is also a Diplomat of American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
"In this new era of information technology and with the impact it has on healthcare services, I hope to leverage Samaritan's clinical areas by setting even higher standards so that they run smoothly, utilizing the latest technological advances available to promote quality patient care throughout the Hospital," said Hunt, in regards to his new position.
