Norval G. Hunt, 79, Green Bay resident, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2002, at St. Vincent Hospital.He was born Sept. 17, 1923, in Chippewa Falls, to the late Arthur and Edith (Krueger) Hunt.Norval served in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1942 until his discharge in 1945.Upon returning from service he married the former Ruth Bancroft on June 19, 1946 in Sheboygan Falls at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.Norval attended the Wisconsin School of Cosmetology where he received his license of Cosmetology.This lead to his employment at Northland Beauty Supply Company, where he was employed as a salesman and retired as president of the company in 1985.After retirement he volunteered his time and talents to the less fortunate and homebound people in the Green Bay area.Norval was a member of First United Church of Christ.He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and a good game of cribbage.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; three children, Paula and Malcolm Bromham, Destin, Fla.; John Hunt, Sheboygan; James Hunt, Green Bay; one granddaughter, Sara Robison.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale and Bruce Hunt.
Friends may call at the First United Church of Christ, 509 S. Webster Ave., after 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of service.Funeral Service 1 p.m. Saturday at the church with the Rev. Robert Laubenstein officiating.
