Alecia Humphrey: Family Law AttorneyAlecia Humphrey joined CGLA on January 3, 2005.Alecia is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School (JD, 2003), Harvard Graduate School of Education (EdM, 1997), and University of Michigan (BA, Psychology & English, 1995).Her many accomplishments include serving on the Wisconsin Women's Law Journal as Symposium Editor.Alecia comes to CGLA with years of experience working with low-income, urban residents of Boston, Washington DC, and Madison, Wisconsin.Most recently, she served as a staff attorney with the Maryland Center for Inclusive Education, representing parents of students with disabilities around least restrictive environment issues.Alecia speaks conversational Spanish, an important skill in our family law practice which has made significant inroads into Chicago's Latino community under the leadership of prior director, Elizabeth Berrones.

Alecia Humphrey has been a Staff Attorney for MCIE since 2004.She holds a BA in psychology and education from the University of Michigan, an Ed.M. from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School.Before coming to MCIE, Alecia managed and created youth programs for inner city girls in Boston.
