IRVINE, CA -- RAND Technology, a leading distributor of parts and components in the electronics industry, today announced that it has achieved the latest milestone in its global customer service initiative with the appointment of Brian Hsieh as Managing Director of Asian Sales.

"Mr. Hsieh's initial priority will be to assemble a local team of Account Managers to call on our customers in Southeast Asia and Mainland China," said Gary Brewer, RAND's Senior Vice President of Global Sales.

Mr. Hsieh brings over 12 years of management experience in global sales and operations in technology-based manufacturing sectors to his assignment at RAND.He has advanced education in both business and technology, receiving his MSME and MBA from UCLA, and BSME from National Taiwan University.Fluent in Chinese, Japanese and English, he has first hand knowledge of doing business in China.

Mr. Hsieh joins RAND after a successful career in building and managing domestic and international sales with Helisys, Inc., a laser-based capital equipment company.After ten years serving in various sales and management roles, he relocated to China and became founder and owner of China Data System Solutions, Inc. where he sold computer data and Internet solutions to Chinese corporate and academic users in Tiajiin.He was CEO of General Media Inc.Shanghai where he constructed a $6-million joint venture with a local satellite TV channel.
