Robert Hryciw, a native Edmontonian, has been a member of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra since 1975.A graduate of the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Music, he studied with Lawrence Fisher and Thomas Rolston.Prior to that his teachers included Broderyck Olson, Alexander Nicol and David Martin.He was a member of the Canadian Chamber Orchestra (Banff), Edmonton Chamber Players Orchestra, has performed in the Alberta Baroque Ensemble since 1980, and in the fall of 1997 joined Edmonton's newest ensemble, Edmonton Chamber Orchestra (ECHO).Robert has been a Suzuki violin teacher for the Society for Talent Education since 1977 and served as their Program Coordinator for ten years.In addition to adjudicating Festivals and Western Board exams, he has been on the faculty of Whitehorse Summer Music Camp 1996-98.
