HERBERT E. HOXIE
Herbert E. (Herb) Hoxie is a native of Lansing, Michigan.He received his Bachelor's degree from Michigan State University, Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School, MBA from the Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University, and studied Public Administration at The George Washington University.He is a member of the Michigan Bar Association and is a former U.S. Naval Pilot.
Herb served in numerous locations in the FBI for over 25 years, including being the Special Agent in Charge of four field offices.He retired as an Assistant Director in Washington, D.C., responsible for the Office of Planning and Evaluation, the think tank of the Bureau.He joined S.C.

Herb has been a Rotarian with perfect attendance for over 42 years as a member of the El Paso, Texas; Little Rock, Arkansas; Milwaukee and Racine, Wisconsin; and Plano, Texas Rotary Clubs, enjoying the cultural diversity of Rotary while attending Rotary functions in 33 foreign countries.Herb led a Group Study Exchange Team to British Columbia in 1993.
Herb served as Governor of District 5810 during the 1996-97 Rotary Year.He initiated the annual Foundation Alumni dinners and made as major objectives improvement in communications and international service.At his District Conference in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, service projects were performed at two schools.He was a leader in the construction of a two-story school near Puerto Vallarta, a heartwarming experience for all concerned.
He has continued service as the Zone 26 Coordinator of the Crime Reduction and Violence Prevention Task Forces.He was in Moscow and Ivanovo, Russia on an eight-day trip in July and August 2001 assisting in the formation of a new Rotary Club in Ivanovo.He served as the District 5810 Representative to the 2004 Council on Legislation and is the scheduled alternate for the 2007 Council.He was the District 5810 Parliamentarian for the 2003-04 and 2005-06 Rotary years.He served on the original Rotary Youth Protection Committee that formulated the Abuse, Harassment and Neglect Protocol and continues to serve on the DAPCo Committee.He was selected as the 2005-06 District Rotarian of the Year.
Herb and his wife, Helen, are both Paul Harris Fellows and Major Donors.
