    Jeffrey E. HorvitzJeffrey Horvitz received a B.A. and an M.A. in Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.A. in Psychology from the University of California at Los Angeles.

    Mr. Horvitz has had a varied career, first in academia as a researcher in the sociology of psychiatry and then as a social psychologist involved with early applications of computers in social science research.From 1975 to 1980 he was an art dealer in Los Angeles specializing in modern and contemporary art.From 1980 to 1986 he was vice president of Hollywood, Inc., one of the largest real estate development companies in Florida.From 1987 to the present, he has been vice chairman of Moreland Management Company, responsible for the investments of the LJR Trust, a large family investment pool.

    Mr. Horvitz serves or has served on the boards of the following non-profit organizations in Massachusetts: the Board of Overseers of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Visiting Committee for the Department of Prints and Drawings, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Collections Committee of the Harvard University Art Museums, Boston; Trustee of the Beverly School for the Deaf in Beverly, MA; Advisory Board of the MD/MBA program of Tufts University School of Medicine, Northeastern University School of Business, and Brandeis University School of Social Policy.

    He is listed by ArtNews as one of the top 200 art collectors in the world, and by Art & Antiques as one of the top 100 art collectors in America.He has spoken frequently at investment conferences.

    Mr. Horvitz has been a member of CAST's Board of Directors since 1995.
