Megann Holmes, a senior at Capital High School, received the award for the week of Aug. 30.She is a member of the National Honor Society and was named Capital High School Student of the Month.She is taking advanced placement courses in microeconomics, English composition, math analysis, psychology/physical education and government.
Holmes is ASB treasurer and a representative, and also serves as ASB director of Capital High for Boise School District.She is involved with the Teacher Grant Board, a member and historian for Key Club and member of the Student Equality Achievement League.
Holmes also participates as a historian for the Auxiliary of Junior Volunteers at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center and has volunteered more than 310 hours at the hospital.She attended Girl's State, was elected mayor and county commissioner and authored one of the bills to be passed through the governor.
