Max joined Hertz Farm Management in 1987 after a distinguished career in agricultural finance. Today, he works with the Hertz team in Mason City to provide professional real estate services.

The experience Max brings to his clients is much appreciated as he farmed from 1948-62. He spent two years in the United States Army, and then finished his college education in 1964.

Max began his career as a loan officer in Mason City at the Federal Land Bank Association, where he was deeply involved in farm appraisals. He later became President of the Federal Land Bank Association in Hampton, IA.

Max was promoted to Field Vice President, where he became responsible for the Federal Land Bank Association operations across the Northern half of Iowa. After spending nearly 13 years studying and appraising Iowa farmland, he joined Hertz, where he oversees real estate sales and appraisals.
