Karla's Scouting career spans nearly fifteen years of active involvement as an adult Scouter who has served in many positions within the unit and district levels.She currently serves on the Troop Committee for Troop 421 in Corona.She has served as a Wolf Den Leader, Bear Den Leader, and Webelos Den Leader for Pack 38.During her time within Troop 421, she has always willingly and voluntarily helped out wherever she can.Karla has served as Treasurer, Popcorn Chairman, Committee Member, and is currently an Assistant Scoutmaster as well.When there was a need in the troop - whether it was the boys needed tents, access to aquatic activities or where in need of a scholarship to participate - Karla was there to help the boys out.She also is the Charter Advisor for Crew 64.
At the district level, Karla has served as the FOS co-chairman for the Temescal District Family Campaign for five years helping the District reach Quality District standing.She has served on the Temescal District Community Campaign for the city of Norco for one year and has been a District Committee member for seven years.Over the years, she has staffed a number of District events such as Tiger Safari and Webelos Woods as well as Girl Scout Camporees.
Outside of Scouting Karla is an active member of her community.In 1986, she was instrumental in successfully establishing the St. Edwards' Thrift Store in Corona to benefit the underprivileged.She also has served at the store as a community volunteer for three years.
