National Peanut Festival president, Pat Holland, says there's another surprise for the public.

NPF President Pat Holland said she hoped the ruling would bring the dispute closer to a final resolution.

"Of course we felt like this was the correct decision.We've always been an agricutural fair and we will continue to be an agricultural fair," Holland said.

Pat Holland, president of the National Peanut Festival, said carnival goers should not be concerned about their safety at the 2007 National Peanut Festival because the assault did not happen during festival.

"This did not occur during the festival time, it occurred before noon on Thursday," Holland said.

NPF President Pat Holland, says this year's festival will have more family-oriented events than ever, and, for the convenience of fairgoers, festival hours have been extended one hour this year.

National Peanut Festival President Pat Holland testified that the central purpose of the festival is to promote peanuts and agriculture.She said more than $1.5 million was spent by the festival on agriculture exhibit buildings when it moved from the Houston County Farm Center to its current location on Highway 231 South in 1999.

"We hope this helps clarify things even more," National Peanut Festival President Pat Holland said.
