Murray MacLean Holland

Murray MacLean Holland was born in Marquette, MI to Canadian Parents.As the son of a Canadian Air Force officer, he spent most of his life criss-crossing North America finally settling in Winnipeg, Manitoba.Holland attended the University of Manitoba where he studied guitar with Paul Hammer.Upon completion of his studies, Holland returned to the USA to study for a Master's Degree in Arts Administration at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.While at CCM he studied guitar with Clare Callahan and subsequently received a Master's Degree in Classical Guitar Performance as a full scholarship recipient.

Holland is currently on the faculty of the University of Cincinnati College of Evening and Continuing Studies, the Campus at Large Program, and the Classical Guitar Summer Workshop at CCM.He performs regularly as both a soloist and chamber musician.
