Aqila Hinkson started dance lessons at 11 years of age in Kissimmee, Florida at Lake Leggz Dance Academy where she completed seven levels in Royal Academy of Dancing syllabus.She attended a summer intensive at Alvin Ailey School of dance in New York and a summer workshop at Bates in Maine.She also attended a summer intensive at Dance Theatre of Harlem.She is a graduate of New World School of the Arts High School and has a BFA from New World School of the Arts College.She teaches African Dance, Hip-Hop, Jazz and Tap at The Turning Point.She began her 4th year on our faculty this past summer at Camp In-Step.A favorite teacher with our students.
