The festival averages about $2,000 for the department, according to fire chief Gaylord Hill, and funds in the past have been used for various training and equipment.
"It's been a good fit for us and the people.
It helps have a good relationship with the community and raise money," Hill said of the festival.
Hill said they are doing some renovations to their 50-year-old fire station and need a new air compressor to provide air for their 20 active members when they go into fires.

Hill also said a renewal levy will be on the fall ballot for the fire department, and they will use the fall festival to help spread the word.
"The community has always been supportive of us and that is what keeps us going.
We're over a hundred years old, the department started in 1895, so we must be doing something right," Hill said.
