Scott was a graduate of Dalton High and began his career as a paramedic with Murray County EMS, worked with Murray County Fire Service and was a policeman with the Chatsworth Police Department.Scott went to work with the Dalton Fire Department in 1978 and while working with the fire department he also worked with the Whitfield EMS.Scott was an instructor at Dalton VDSHO, where he taught Basic EMT and Advanced Paramedic classes.He retired from the Dalton Fire Department after 16 years of service.He founded and was president of the ESE Training Associates.He was appointed by Gov.
