   Curtis began his court reportingcareer in Atlanta, Georgia with one of the largest freelance reporting firms in the South.Upon returning to Dallas, Texas in 1977, he spent a period of time as a Deputy Official Reporter for Judge Robert Porter in Federal Court, followed by a two year stint as an Official Reporter in Bankruptcy Court.Curtis returned to the freelance world in 1979 where he has remained since.
   
   His experience over the years is extensive, covering the gamut of litigation and taking him to the four corners of the United States on reporting assignments.A dedicated professional, Curtis is an active member of the Dallas Court Reporters Association, having served as its President in 1991, the Texas Court Reporters Association, having served as its President in 2001, and the National Court Reporters Association.
   
   Curtis has published numerous articles on court reporting, both nationally as well as in the State of Texas, and was the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award awarded by the Dallas Court Reporters Association in 1994.
